Frequently Asked Questions
What is involved in the tour?
We hope there will be no such thing as an average tour! You will be lead only a few hundred metres in any direction but will cover over 400 million years of Dundee’s history! The tour, which is all on the level, is around 3/4 mile (1200 metres) in distance.

Meeting point
We will assemble on the Quayside, near the Victoria & Albert (V&A Dundee) Museum and in front of Captain Scott’s RRS Discovery. It is very close to Dundee Railway Station, where there is also a Taxi Rank.

One of the most popular, for Discovery Point, is Greenmarket Car Park. It is open 24 hours, and is a 5 minute walk from our meeting place.
Please note - there is a car park next to the RRS Discovery Museum. This is not a large car park and is heavily patrolled by Parking Attendants.

Weather
Tours will go ahead irrespective of weather. You are asked to dress according to the weather conditions. To try to assist you:-
In winter bring...
-
A wooly hat with or without bobble.
-
A rainproof cap or bonnet (locally known as a bunnet.) For further research see Dundee’s First Family, The Broons, of Glebe Street.
-
Waterproof jacket, scarf, gloves and Wellingtons (Wellies).
In Summer
See above instructions for Winter.
Dundee is known as #SunnyDundee - Scotland's sunniest city. Hopefully we will be lucky with the weather!
